Twinkie is a mini Goldendoodle, who joined our family when she was only 9 weeks old. (Insert baby photo) She was so little that we used to call her our Teeny Tiny Twinkie. From the beginning she’s been a rascal. She came from a breeder who has 9 children, so she was more than socialized with her first family. Because of that Twinkie is not easily frightened by anything. I mean anything. Power tools, blenders, vacuums are all fair game. She runs towards them, never away from them. She loves being sprayed with hoses and she tries to bite the stream of water. She jumps right into her baths as well. Twinkie is very sneaky. She doesn’t like anything on us or the other dogs. She tries taking off jewelry, glasses and hair clips. She knows we don’t like that so she pretends she’s just come up for a snuggle, but then in her very stealth manner she takes things off of us. She seems to think that if she isn’t looking at us, then we can’t see her. She moves away very slowly with what she’s pilfered in a nonchalant way. Then she takes the things outside and buries them in the snow, so we can’t find them. When it’s warm she hides them under the bed, or she throws them over the balcony. If we ever leave our shoes on the floor she’ll take one and hide it. It’s never both shoes. She also doesn’t like collars on the other dogs and she’ll chew them right off. She doesn’t like her own collar either. Twinkie is always entertaining. She makes us laugh everyday. Besides being a rascal, Twinkie is a sweet affectionate little girl that we adore.
